Michael DiSpezio has written several critical thinking/lateral thinking puzzle books. This book has several puzzles in it which I had already seen, so if you're a real puzzle enthusiast, you probably don't want to bother with this one.
On the other hand, it's a good little book to get you started on "thinking outside the box" kinds of puzzles.
Particularly, this would probably make a nice gift for an elementary school student. The book is a "Scholastic" book, and the artwork is definitely geared toward children, with very cartoonish illustrations to go with the puzzles.
There are seventy pages of puzzles, and each page has either one or two puzzles, so there's probably around a hundred puzzles in all. The solutions are all in the back.
